A lot has happened with the Fischer family in the past decade. Nine years ago, Emily and JD finally tied the knot! They were overjoyed to have their youngsters be a part of the wedding. Seven years ago Emily and JD were surprised to find out they were pregnant again, especially since their youngest was now six year old. Even so, they welcomed another baby boy, Keaton Noah Fischer. The couple had barely adjusted when Emily found she was pregnant again. Keaton was five months old when she got the news. If the pregnancy would have gone smoothly, then the babies would have been sixteen months apart. The newest addition, another boy, was three months premature. Aside from some minor complications, he was healthy. Emily and JD thanked God and gave their son a biblical name, Asher Solomon Fischer.
Just three years ago, Emily's best friend from college, Micah James Blackwell, and his wife, Shuyun Xi Blackwell, were in a plane crash. Their two children, Octavia (13) and Toby (7) were placed in the care of Emily and JD. They two took in the children without hesitation. Tavi took the adjustment hard, so Emily and JD put her in counseling. Now, three years later, she's doing tremendously better. Toby adjusted quickly. The boys loved having another brother around to play with.
It has recently come to light that Paul and his seventeen-year-old girlfriend, Amanda Rachelle Howard, are expecting. The two have been together since Paul was sixteen. Upon finding out about her pregnancy, Amanda's mother kicked her out. Emily and JD opened their arms to the girl and welcomed her into their already lively and busy home. Paul and Amanda, a beautiful couple, have decided to keep their little boy and are planning on honoring their fathers. Amanda's own father, Gregory Kane Howard, passed away just a few months ago. After much debate, they settled on David Kane Fischer. Emily and JD support the decision to keep the baby, but fear the responsibility will fall on their shoulders.
Eulalie is now fifteen and entering her freshman year of high school. Early in her childhood she was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. She's incredibly bright and creative with a passion for art.
Tennyson, now thirteen, is in the eighth grade. He has a love for baseball like no other and is actually very good at it.
Keaton, 7, loves the second grade and hasn't put down books since he learned how to read last year.
Asher, 6, loves being the center of attention in the household. He's talkative and energetic. Each of his siblings are protective of him and he thoroughly enjoys being spoiled by everyone.
