It's been eight years. Eight long years. Three years ago, Dori joined the family, followed closely by Maggie, born eleven months later. After waiting ten years for another baby--and trying on a regular basis--Cori was elated to have two more. DeeDee was incredibly excited to finally not be the baby of the family! Murray can't believe he's still the only boy, except for Adam, six years older than he is. He hates it. But secretly loves his little sisters. Especially Maggie, who is his special little sis.
But two new additions aren't the only thing that's happened these past years. About a year ago, Cori came home to find Jake in bed with another girl. One much younger than either of them. She immediately threw both of them out. And as soon as possible she divorced Jake. She'd been suspecting that Jake had been cheating on her ever since Maggie arrived, because he said (and I quote), "Cori, honey, I don't think we need any more babies. I know I don't. At least not with you." He laughed that last part off, hoping she'd take it as a joke. But she didn't. Not a smart move on his part at all. He ended up on the couch that night.
As soon as Cori threw Jake out, Jake moved in with his girlfriend, Kate McTimmons. And a month from that very night, they discovered they were expecting. An even better reason for Cori to get rid of Jake. Jake and Kate now have a one-year-old baby boy--Timothy Thomas McTimmons, or TinTin as they call him.
But TinTin isn't the last little addition to the Carvers. Adam and his girlfriend, Meggie, have been dating for less than a year--about five months, maybe?--and yet they're as thick as thick can be. And are expecting a baby boy, whom they're planning to name James Boyd Carver Musker--after Jake and Meggie's dad, Boyd. Cori couldn't believe that her son would go and get his sixteen-year-old girlfriend pregnant. But he did. And they're planning to keep little Jimmy Boy. Which Cori is proud of.
