Jamie and Jim's kids are all grown up and out of the house now, mostly. The twins are in college, so they are home occasionally. They are going to the same school. Chris is there on a football scholarship, and he is studying business administration. Amy is studying secondary education and taking on musical pursuits in her free time. Jamie and Jim's oldest child, Lizzy, graduated from college last year. She found a teaching job and is renting a one bedroom apartment that she is thrilled to call her own.
Annie and Robert's crew has started moving out too, though there is still plenty to keep them busy at home. Charlie and Julia were married four years ago. Charlie found full time work at a state garage fixing various state vehicles and making sure the rest are in working order. Julia worked part-time as a waitress for about a year until they had their first child, a little boy named Adam. Nicky is twenty-one now. When he was eighteen, he enlisted in the Army, and he has absolutely thrived there. He is currently stationed in Kentucky. Emma, 19, is in her sophomore year at Harvard University. She is in their medical program and wants to become a neurosurgeon. Joey, 18, is going to an architecture and design institute. He wants to design the newest makes and models of cars. Benji, 17, is planning to go to college next year to study psychology, and he is thinking about psychiatry as a career. Missy, 15, still loves reading and has discovered a latent talent for sketching. Jonny, 13, is in the cub scouts and spends nearly all of his time outside. Aaron, 10, is very much the youngest child--a little spoiled, but much loved by everyone. He's into cars and planes and almost anything fast.
Noah and his kids are moving on in life, though they will never forget Bruna. Noah took a permanent relocation to New York City, and while there, he met Jana. The pair dated for six months before getting engaged. Jana too had lost her spouse and had two children at home. Now, the family combines for five kids, and they get along surprisingly well. Shelly, 16, is Jana's older child. She is a fiesty young girl with big dreams. Adelina, 15, was a little out of sorts when Shelly moved in, but has learned to find a close friend in her new sister. Zella, 13, is navigating the waters of womanhood, and Noah is glad there's a woman around to help her with it. Zella is still a good soccer player, and she enjoys her nickname of "Ghost" for the way she can sneak up on defenders and end up in an open area primed to score a goal. Morgan, 12, is Jana's younger child. He is a sweet child who would rather sit inside writing than be outdoors playing sports. Wil, 10, is exactly the opposite of his adopted brother--if its outside (and especially if its messy), he's there.
Laurie and John had another child two years ago, Franklin. He joins Jackie and Eamon, and the threesome make for a rambunctious group. Jackie, 9, is a high-energy drama queen. Eamon, 6, feeds off of his older sister, but he is fairly sedate when by himself.
Ode and Lorraine's lives were turned upside down by the arrival of their triplets, and they are still going a little crazy at their house. Abi, 14, is interested by his African heritage and has been with his Uncle Enitan to visit Africa several times. Kayin, 11, is a wonderful violin player, and she spends about an hour and a half a day playing, of her own volition. Laya, Lara, and Ayo are 5 1/2 now. They just started Kindergarten, which takes some of the pressure off of Ode and Lorraine.
Enitan and Olivia have set up permanent residence in Africa. They love it there and have no plans to leave. They have a one-year-old daughter, Lea.
