An earthquake hits the town where Gunnar and Annabeth live. It caused minimal damage but repairs were still needed that took about a week to fix.

Annabeth gives birth to their first child, a son.

For the fourth year in a row, Gunnar and Annabeth have more children. However, this year it is because Gunnar's brother and his wife were killed in a car accident and left Gunnar and Annabeth as the godparents. Gunnar's mother comes to stay with them for awhile as 12 kids is a lot to deal with especially when 11 of them are 5 or younger.
