Previous Dogs: Thor (Black Great Dane), Pixie (Black Lab), Griffin (Tan/Black Great Dane), Macy (Shetland Sheepdog), Sadie (Golden Retriever), & Sami (Golden Retriever)Three years have sped by for the Thompson (and extended) family.
Wil and Bekah are still doing well. Their last son, Aiden, moved away from home this year, so its just them and the dog. Bekah has been volunteering for the past few years at a children's after school program. She enjoys being around the kids, and they seem to gravitate toward her as well. Wil is still working as an engineer. He spends most of his days in an office building, but does occasionally get to go on site visits.
Caitie and Ben's family is doing fine as well. Ben recently started a new job at a small software company. He enjoys the change of pace from his previous position. Caitie decided to quit her teaching job to stay home with the kids. The triplets are three now. All of them have slight developmental delays, but nothing that should greatly affect their childhood. Jason, who has the worst delays, is about a year behind his siblings in physical development, however, he talks up a storm. Austin is the quietest of the three, but he also gets into the most mischief. He has some eye problems, but corrective lenses have fixed the problem for now. Carrie is the most typical of the three--she is progressing with about a two and a half month delay, which doctors have expected. She has no other difficulties.
Joey and Melanie have been married for two years now. They just welcomed their first child, Sophia. Joey has his hands full with the two of them. Just before finding out she was pregnant, Melanie had finally gotten the modeling job she wanted. She and Joey were both excited about the baby, so they took some time and got ready for her arrival. Once she started showing, Melanie found a job as a maternity model. Since Sophia arrived, however, Melanie has been depressed. Joey is finding it hard to motivate her to do anything, including caring for Sophia. Joey is currently taking some vacation time to help Melanie out with Sophia. He wants her to see a doctor, but Melanie insists that she'll be fine in just a few more days.
Haley is currently working on her doctorate degree. She is hoping to be finished with it early next year. She is studying at a university in Brazil, and loves the foreign experience. She is hoping for a fellowship position in northern Ecuador after she gets her doctorate.
Lyddie and her boyfriend did end up getting married after he graduated from college and found a job. She and Tommy are still working out some of the kinks of their new life together, but they are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second child. Mira June is excited at the prospect of a new brother or sister.
Shane graduated from college earlier this year. He found a job at a small rural school in Texas. The work is hard, but he is seeing the students slowly come to enjoy music like he does. Shane has decided to try his hand at composing--something he's done only a little bit of. He's having fun with it. Shane is also dating a girl he recently met in Texas.
Aiden, 18, still wasn't sure exactly what he wanted to do with his life. He finally settled on joining the Navy. He's still going through basic training, but he likes the structured lifestyle so far. He decided that he wanted to travel and see some of the world before he settled down anywhere. In his eyes, the Navy is the best way to do that.
