The whole queendom rejoiced at the birth of Princess Mariana, even though she wasn't the heir. Not even a week after her birth, Queen Liviana's youngest sister, Marcelina was married to a commoner. This sort of event was extremely rare to the royal family. The people of the queendom loved witnessing this occasion, since it was something that may never happen again. All of the little girls of the queendom could now hope to marry a prince, thanks to Marcelina's marriage.
Meanwhile, the commotion over Mariana's birth was dying down. Queen Liviana announced that she would allow women to become royal advisors. Even in the queendom, most of the court and advisors were men, and women had never been allowed to be an advisor to the queen. This was the only way that men would allow the only ruler to be a queen. Liviana knew she would be criticized, but hoped that her change to the court would end up being for the best. Most of the commonpeople (especially women) liked the change. But in the court there were whispered talks of overthrowing Queen Liviana and putting Marcelina on the throne, as they believe this change to be against the law.
