Liza and Evgeni feel like they have established themselves here in this new country. A few months after Galina was born, Liza suffered a miscarriage. She wasn't positive that she was pregnant, but the thought had crossed her mind. It was difficult for her, both mentally and physically, to lose a baby. Evgeni tried to be supportive, but found that Liza relied more on her cousin, Natalya than anyone. Natalya and her husband, Petr, moved to the United States about a year and a half ago, and had witnessed Galina's birth. Evgeni consulted a Russian doctor, who advised that Liza rest. After awhile, things started to look up, and Evgeni and Liza started feeling that their lives were "normal" again. Two years later, Liza discovered that she was expecting again. She kept the news to herself for about a month, afraid that she would have another miscarriage. Evgeni and Liza's third daughter, Angelina Rose, entered the world on a chilly October morning.
