Just as Thekla started to miss Greece, she found out she was pregnant. She sent word out to her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and anyone else she could think of. Soon her mother wrote back congratulating them. She also told them that after many years of hard work and saving money, Thekla's little sister Anna Sophia, got accepted to a college in the United States. To honor her sister, Thekla decided to name her new daughter Sophia.
