Three years after Viola's birth, Zeke and Rose Montgomery announced they were expecting their second child, which got the media circus up and running again. However, because Zeke and Rose were more open with the press this time, by giving brief interviews, the press were not as bad this time round.
Before their second child was born, there was more excitement in the Montgomery household, when Zeke won the Best Actor Academy Award. It was quite rare for an actor who had started life as a child star, to be able to make it safely through those awkward 'transition years', and to come out of it as a recognized actor amongst your peers.
Just a few months later, Zeke and Rose became parents to a second beautiful daughter, who they named Harriet Joy. Harriet was named for Harriet Beecher Stowe, who Rose has long admired, both for her work as a writer and abolitionist. The middle name of Joy was chosen to reflect the joyous few months the family had had.
