Upon marrying Dorian, Angel broke off her relationship with Rayner, knowing that if she were to become pregnant, she wouldn't want anyone to dispute her child's right to the throne. She became pregnant four months into the marriage, and gave birth to a healthy baby boy: Prince Vincent.
Unfortunately, Angel wasn't quite ready for everything her new roles would entail. She started sleeping with Rayner again, and asked for an extended holiday from her husband and his Advisors. Dorian knew that Angel would be leaving with Rayner, and spoke to his Advisors, who suggested that the woman could be tried for treason for her actions. He clearly need to think about his own future, which would mean finding a woman to replace Angel should she not grasp the seriousness of her actions. So while Angel was on holiday with Rayner on some remote island, Dorian was raising his baby son with a gorgeous and smart lady-in-waiting named Delilah, with whom Dorian truly believes he's fallen in love with. But he doesn't want to forsake his child's mother without giving her a chance to rectify the situation. Time will tell.
