Cordelia Amabel inherited the Kingdom of Bryony from her mother, the late Queen Aurelia Therese. Jasper is the son of the former king of Magnolia who had been forced to leave his country after revolution. Cordelia Amabel and Jasper have been friends since they were toddlers, and their marriage was a love marriage (which was accepted because Jasper had a noble background, it would have caused a scandal if he was a commoner).
