Carla and I met in Paris when I began my job there as an editor for a French magazine. She is an interior designer and was born in Paris. I was born in Ontario, Canada to an English-Canadian father and a Croatian mother. Carla and I met through friends at the magazine I work at and fell in love. We moved in together six months later and were married two years after that. It has been a life long dream of mine to go back to school to become a chef and I recently got the opportunity to attend a prestigious culinary school in Paris. It is a dream come true.
Year 2- Family Event
It has been a good year, but the last month has been horrible. I have been bedridden because a month ago I was running in the rain trying to quickly cross a busy street and slipped and broke my leg. Unfortunately a passing car slid on the wet street while trying to stop and hit me breaking my left shoulder and several bones in my right leg. I am a mess, but Carla has been taking very good care of me. She is working from her studio at home while I recover. I couldn't ask for a better nurse!
Year 3- Birth
A few months after I recovered from my accident we found out that Carla was pregnant. We both love children and were very excited, although worried about having space for a baby in our tiny Paris apartment. The pregnancy seemed to go by very fast and Carla loved it. She spent months decorating and redecorating our spare bedroom and making a beautiful nursery for our new baby. Our tiny little daughter was born two weeks ago. She has my brown hair and her mother's green eyes. We named our baby girl Ines Célia Abrams.

Our little Ines is a year old now and so beautiful. She has sweet little brown ringlet curls and gorgeous green eyes like her mother. Carla is still working, but not as much and mostly from home. She loves taking our daughter around the city for walks and Ines loves it too. I have been stuck at home again with another broken bone in my right leg. I tripped over a chair at work and broke my leg in the same spot I did a couple years ago. The doctor said my bone was weakened from the past break. It's awful being in pain and not being able to work, but I love being home with Carla and Ines.

This year, Gregory and Lillian fulfilled their dream of owning their own home in the English countryside, away from the crush of London where they both grew up, by purchasing a farm in a tiny village in northern England. Greg gave up his business career and began to farm their land, while Lillian works as an archaeologist, spending a good deal of time around England and Scotland studying artifacts.

Celebration - Easter
Gregory, Lillian, and Maisie welcomed both sides of their family over to the farm for Easter dinner. Lillian presented a fabulous meal made almost entirely with food grown or raised by the family. There was plenty of food and plenty of laughter and even their staunchly urban relatives professed a love for the farm.

Lillian was selected to travel to Asia to study some ancient Chinese ruins with apparent Western influence. She spent this entire last year there. Gregory and Maisie came for a week to see her, but then returned home to the farm.

This year, Gregory and Lillian fulfilled their dream of owning their own home in the English countryside, away from the crush of London where they both grew up, by purchasing a farm in a tiny village in northern England. Greg gave up his business career and began to farm their land, while Lillian works as an archaeologist, spending a good deal of time around England and Scotland studying artifacts.

Celebration - Easter
Gregory, Lillian, and Maisie welcomed both sides of their family over to the farm for Easter dinner. Lillian presented a fabulous meal made almost entirely with food grown or raised by the family. There was plenty of food and plenty of laughter and even their staunchly urban relatives professed a love for the farm.

But on Scott's way back to their apartment on the Vespa, he was hit by another motorist. For a few days, Lena wasn't sure if her new husband would make it, so she sat by his side and helped nurse him back to health.
Year 2: Two months after leaving France, Lena found out that she was pregnant. It was until the fourth month that the doctor noticed that the Bryces were expecting twins. Their bouncing baby girls were identical twins with beautiful black, curly hair and amber eyes. And the happy couple was delighted to announce to the world the birth of Juliette Olivia Bryce and Melody Amelia Bryce .
Year 3: Upon celebrating his election into a second term as a US senator, Scott found another reason to celebrate: Lena announced that she was pregnant with his son. Their baby boy looked amost exactly with blonde, curly hair, but unlike his father's blue eyes, Liam Daniel Bryce was born with gorgeous gray eyes.
Year 4: The Bryces have begun mourning the death of Melody. Melody was diagnosed with leukemia within a year of her birth, and held on for another year only to pass away at age two.
Year 5: Lena and Scott brought Liam and Juliette to Disney World during the summer, as they needed a change of scenery and a happy place for their children.

In 2015, we traveled to Berlin for a family vacation, staying in a rented apartment and exploring the city by bicycle. In 2016, anticipating the growth of our family, we moved from a small house in Ottawa to a much larger one. In 2017, I gave birth to triplet daughters, Gillian Esme, Betony Carlotta, and Aisha Page Hopkins. In 2018, we adopted 6-year-old Korean triplets, named Bi-ya, Yong-un, and Jun-hwan (a girl and two boys). In 2019, Curtis lost his fight for reelection, and we moved back to Winnipeg. In 2020, he started law school.
