The Gidleys are some of the few that aren't caught up in the government endorsed media blitz. Both of them are amongst the few remaining researchers who can be considered academia. More on the history of academia; Academia has moved underground and is almost considered as low as the dope men on the street corners of the city of New Detroit. Old Detroit was almost completely burnt down in the riots of 2769.
