Nell is studying Physics at New York University. She met a very nice boy in one of her classes, named George Henry Walbeck. They've been going out for about a year now. Nomi is still with Daniel Paul Robertson. She's at UW-Milwaukee for Occupational Therapy, while he's down in Chicago, but they're making their relationship work.
DS: Marcus Bastian "Mack," 16
Mack is working up the courage to ask out a girl named Summer Skye Dupree (yes, her parents weren't thinking straight when they named her!) to the prom. They've been friends for a while, but he's a little nervous about making a move.

Things are going better for Mamie and Jackie. They're very excited at the fact that they'll be having a little girl together! Jackie secretly feels that this is his way of making up for the fact that Quinnie isn't truly his (much as he loves her anyway--she calls him Daddy), and Mamie is hoping that their creating a new life will help repair the damage that occurred six years ago.

Angus Jimmy is a beautiful little boy. He was named for his great-great-grandfather on Riley's side, Angus Abbott, and for Hayley's father, Jimmy.

If there is one thing we in our family know, it's that no one is ever "was a drug addict" in the past tense. Addiction is something a person always carries with him; it's just a question of resisting it. If it was possible to be truly "was a drug addict," though, Christian would be close to that point. He's changed so much in the four years since he returned--from the gaunt, desperate young man to a properly filled out husband and father, with a direction in his life and a desire to be clean. He's even able to have a sense of humor about it, though it's an unspoken rule that he's the only one allowed to make the jokes. He's promised to give a stern talking-to to any of his nieces and nephews, should one of them even consider going down such a path.
