James and Elizabeth Aldridge have five children: Joseph, Maggie, Tabitha, Theodore, and Nathaniel. They first became parents at the age of 28 and their last child was born when they were 41.
They are the proud grandparents of three grandsons and ten granddaughters: Arthur, Annie, Gloria, Madeleine, Ginny, Matilda, Lia, Juliana, Zach, Melody, Ellie, Rowan, and Asher. They first became grandparents at the age of 51, when their eldest son Joseph became father to Arthur at age 23. Their current youngest grandchild is not quite a month old.
Joseph and Penelope Aldridge have son Arthur and daughter Gloria. They were married at 22 and had their first child at 23. Arthur and Gloria are both calm and quiet young people, very well-behaved, responsible, and studious. The two of them often watch their younger cousins during family gatherings or when the parents go out for the evening. Gloria is currently applying for a prestigious all-girls boarding school and Joseph is attending an all-boys Jesuit high school in the area, where he enjoys working with the theatre groups, singing in the choir, and playing golf.
Elliott and Maggie Townsend have four daughters: Annie, Madeleine, Ginny, and Juliana. They were married at 22 and had their first child at 23, like Joseph and Penelope. Elliott is a successful lawyer and Maggie is a PhD of history and a professor at a local university. While Maggie was pregnant with the twins, the growing Townsend family moved back to be closer to their parents. They are very well-off and own a large mansion that is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings. Annie is, at 13, a vivacious and creative girl who loves creative writing. Twins Madeleine and Ginny are inseparable and adore reading and playing soccer. Juliana often tags along with her slightly older cousins Matilda and Lia. Elliott remains very close to Nathaniel, who has made great strides in his social skills because of their friendship.
Tabitha and her husband Lane Kirkpatrick have two daughters, Matilda and Ellie. They were married when Tabitha was 24 and Lane was 27. Tabitha kept her maiden name because at 24 she was already a successful author, recognized in many circles as the next great American writer. She is very prolific, and a handful of her books have reached the New York Times bestseller list. She had originally been leaning toward life as a ballerina, but an ankle injury her senior year of college left her with a permanent limp and ended her dancing career. Matilda and Ellie both take ballet lessons, though, and Tabitha loves that her daughters enjoy dancing as well. Lane is an industrial designer for a local firm focused on environmental affairs. Matilda is close with her cousin Lia who is the same age and Ellie enjoys spending time with Lia's little sister Melody.
Theodore and Amelia Aldridge have three daughters, Lia, Melody, and Rowan, and son Zach. They were married when Theodore was 24 and Amelia was 23. Lia was born later that year. Theodore majored in engineering in college and was a part of ROTC. He has now been in the Army for several years, sometimes overseas, sometimes at home. Amelia is an active participant in "Army family" culture, and is a stay-at-home mother. Lia is outgoing, but doesn't particularly enjoy school, instead preferring to play outside. Zach adores his older cousin Arthur and has joined the children's choir to be like him. Zach is the quietest member of a very friendly and outgoing family. Zach's twin Melody ironically cannot carry a tune in a bucket and has no interest in music. Rowan is a smiling two-year-old and as such is not very exciting quite yet!
Nathaniel and Susana Aldridge are a young couple very much in love. They were married about two years ago and have just given birth to the third Aldridge grandson, whom they have named after Nathaniel's best friend, his brother-in-law Elliott.
