I'm not an expert on Hebrew names. I have a name book by one Alfred Kolatch called "The New Name Dictionary: Modern English and Hebrew Names". When looking under Alexander, it states, "The exact Hebrew equivalent is Aleksander." I think the name is just old enough to have been incorporated into Hebrew in close to its original form.
