Approaching their forties has prompted Jasper and Emmy to lead a more settled life with their children in New York. Jasper is continuing to work for Amnesty International on several awareness and fund raising projects whilst Emmy has been appointed as a human rights advisor for the United Nations and continues to blog and contribute articles to various newspapers and journals frequently.

The last six years have seen the Bryson-Harper family welcome a further four adopted children into their family (a four year old son from Peru, two year old twin girls from Zimbabwe and a one year old boy from Japan), these they have decided will be the last young additions to their family. Instead, they are serving as adoptive parents for a young pregnant woman who was abandoned by her family. They hope that in the future they'll be able to reach women in similar situations and help them with childcare, finding jobs and continuing in education.
