Avery and Erin met just two years ago but from the start they both knew that they were meant to be. They've recently moved in together and are trying to have a baby (even though Erin would like to graduate before getting pregnant). Avery works as a lawyer specialized on environment cases and Erin is studying to become a midwife. (Erin was named Serenity by her very conservative Christian parents, but since she hates virtue names, she goes by Erin now).
Erin's twenty-five minutes younger twin, Faith, recently became a single mother and she has now come to live with Avery and Erin. Faith was only 18 when she met and fell in love with Miles Porter Churchill. He had a heart condition and knew that he probably wouldn't live to see his 25th birthday, and that's why he and Faith decided to have children so soon.
