Re: KUY Random Events CAF--- "Sign-Up" + First Round Finished
LN: Fallon
DH: Thomas Alexander "Tom" (25)
DW: Felicia Irene (nee Moore) (25)
DD/DS: Alaia Felicia "Aya" / Benjamin Thomas "Benny" (3)
DD: Zofia Eliane "Zo" (nb)Felicia and Tom married right out of college. Both of them were twenty-two and both had gotten their first jobs as teachers, Felicia teaching seventh grade English and Literature and Tom teaching art in an elementary school nearby. They were thrilled when they found out only a few months into their marriage that they were expecting their first child. It soon was discovered that it was children they were expecting, as Felicia was carrying twins! They were extremely excited but a bit overwhelmed at first. Babies are expensive and teachers don't make a great deal of money, and they worried about how they would get sleep and keep up with twice the baby. But when on their first anniversary, a beautiful May day, they held their beautiful little girl and boy, all that fled their minds. Their daughter was born first, and they named her Alaia, which means "joyful" in Basque. Benjamin, which means "son of the right hand" in Hebrew, came six minutes later. Both were healthy and beautiful and so was Felicia. The twins were born just before school let out for the summer, which was fortunate as it meant both of them could be home most of the time. Tom taught art at a day camp during the summer to make some extra money, but he was home most of the time and thus two babies wasn't as difficult as they had feared. The school system where the two taught had a daycare attached to the high school for the children of teachers (and students), so Toma and Felicia were able to run down the street during lunch and free periods to see the twins. This way they didn't feel as much anxiety leaving their children in daycare. When Aya (a mispronounciation of Alaia by both twins that soon became a nickname) and Benny were toddlers, Felicia and Tom both decided they wanted another baby. Thus, nine months later, little Zofia was born. They chose Zofia as her name because even the nurses said she had eyes that looked too wise and alert for a newborn. The considered Sophia, meaning wisdom, but it was was too common, so they went with the Polsih form. This reflects Thomas's Polish ancestry (he is mostly Irish and Polish) while Alaia reflects Felicia's Basque heritage (she is mostly Irish, Basque from Spain, and Native American). Aya and Benny are both utterly in love with their baby sister, who was born shortly after they turned three (another May baby), and Zo, as she's called, has an umcommonly knowing expression for a baby of her age. Felicia and Tom both are certain she will grow up to be brilliant.
