-AD: Eliora Tikvah Cohen (not Roth) (8), adopted from Israel at age 4 (father was Ari's best friend in the Israeli army and passed away from a malignant brain tumor), loves ballet and playing music (though can't seem to settle with a single instrument), still a slight bit of emotional disabilities resulting from her father's death but those are lessening daily (still goes to therapy once a month with extras as she needs)

Celine is an artist at heart. She loves painting, drawing, and coloring. Her favorite things to draw are princesses, because it is her full intention to be a princess when she grows up. She likes making friends, but sometimes finds interacting with others difficult. She likes playing games with her brother when she is not playing dress up or drawing.
Felix is a talented pianist for his age, and he hopes to be able to continue lessons. He was very close to his father, and often has trouble sleeping because he misses him. Felix like playing with action figures, particularly superheroes. His favorite superhero is Batman, and he can't wait until he is old enough to be allowed to watch the new Batman movies.

Please welcome Avi Yosef (5), Liora Irit (2), and Deborah Tahlia (2)! Liora and Deborah are sisters from Hebron, Israel and Avi is from Eilat, Israel. All three children have been in an orphanage since they were born.
Liora and Deborah are twins. Their mother died soon after giving birth to them, and their father had left her before they were born. Though identical, they are easily distinguishable by their contrasting personalities. Liora is bubbly and constantly babbling, while Deborah is much quieter. Liora enjoys exploring new territory and making friends. Deborah prefers keeping the company of those with whom she is familiar, and gets scared when she is first brought to a new place with new people. Deborah is very willing to engage in one activity for a length of time (she especially enjoys coloring), but Liora is easily distracted with a short attention span.
Avi is a very charismatic little boy. He enjoys being the center of attention, and likes playing with other children. He enjoys being outdoors, and has an affinity for swimming. His mother's husband is in the Israeli army, and was away during the time of the pregnancy. She put him up for adoption to avoid her husband learning of her infidelity. Please welcome Evangeline Ruth "Eve" (15), her boyfriend Theodore Patrick "Theo" (16), and his sister Maya Carolyn (14). Theo and Eve have been together for a year and a half, and recently discovered that Eve was pregnant (her due date is 2 months from now). She was kicked out when she told her parents three months ago. At this time, she moved in with Theo, Maya, and their father. Just weeks after moving in, Theo's clinically depressed father took all three teenagers to a home, saying that he couldn't deal with them anymore and was giving them up for adoption.
Eve is an intelligent and charming young woman. She wants to be a math teacher when she grows up, and she definitely has the brains for it. She enjoys math and science, and also plays the clarinet very well. She is very nervous for the baby, but feels confident that she and Theo can provide a loving home for it someday. Eve has light brown hair and hazel eyes. She is very thin (when she isn't 7 months pregnant, that is), and petite.
Theo is also very smart, though he prefers English to the sciences. He is very much in love with Eve, and is very nervous and excited to be a father. He wants to be a writer, and spends a few hours a day working on various stories and essays. When he isn't writing or spending time with Eve, he enjoys running and playing soccer. He has dark skin, hair, and eyes and is very fit.
Maya is very shy, and enjoys spending time with Eve and Theo. She has a few close friends at her old school who she plans on keeping in contact with, but she has never gone out much. She is an avid reader like her brother, loves to cook, and plays the flute. She isn't sure what she wants to be yet, but she knows that she wants to go to college. Their single mother was killed when their home was robbed one year ago. Their father was sent to prison when the girls were 6 and 4 respectively, after he was found guilty of physically abusing them and their mother. Both girls have been in counseling since their mother died, to deal with both her death and their abuse. It will be important that therapy be continued.
Chrissy is clearly the big sister, as she sees it as her responsibility to care for Irena. She is very poised with adults, though reserved. Though she finds it fairly easy to make friends, she is a little nervous about having more siblings! She wants to be a doctor when she grows up, and enjoys writing. Chrissy is tall for her age and has blond hair and dark brown eyes.
Irena is painfully shy. Even when she feels close to someone, she is very quiet around them. The only person she has felt completely comfortable with since her mother's death is her sister. The only way she would speak to the social worker at first was through playing with dolls together. She loves dolls and takes very good care of them.

Chrissy and Irena are doing great. They are both still in counseling but are doing great now.
Chrissy's nervousness about having more siblings flew straight out the door on day 2. She is the oldest being 3 months older than Henry and loves taking care of all her little brothers and sisters. She has been doing very well in school and has made many friends.
Irena is still pretty shy but she is doing better. She and Lilly are in the same class and for the first few weeks she only was comfortable with Lilly who she took to very quickly for her because they found that they like to play the same games. Now she is more comfortable at school though still one of the shy kids.

Please welcome Antonio Michel (5) Alessandra Renee "Allie" (5) and Beatrice Jeanine (3). These siblings were born in Venice, Italy to a French mother and Italian father. Their parents both passed away in a fatal car accident during a trip to France two years ago. Since then, the three children have been living with their maternal grandmother, who feels that she can no longer support or care for them. She would like to be able to send and receive letters to and from her grandchildren, if the adoptive family would permit it. The children are fluent in French and Allie and Antonio still retain some of their Italian.
Antonio is the oldest of the children (albeit by three minutes), and also the most outgoing. He loves animals, and has always wanted to live in a household with pets. He enjoys playing with toy race cars, of which he has many, and being outside. Antonio has very dark hair and blue eyes, with olive skin.
Allie is much more reserved than her twin brother. She too loves animals, and cannot wait to be able to cuddle up with a kitty! She enjoys playing with her little sister and her stuffed animals. She and her brother have similar looks and coloring.
Beatrice is a very cheery little girl. She enjoys being around people, especially her siblings. She talks quite a lot, and loves to draw and color. She had lighter coloring and hair than the twins, but the same blue eyes.
