Florida might be a nice place to settle down. Or France might be cool. But why don't we stick with Florida for now?
I forgot to put what job Chiara is doing. She's a part-time grammar and composition teacher at a private school while also working as a journalist for a small town newspaper.
How should we have met? Why don't you put down a couple of suggestions, and I'll choose the one I think is best (and feel free to make comments on which one you like best, too)?
And names. Why don't we choose as we go along? I find that to be more enjoyable than picking out a bunch of random names beforehand, don't you?

Florida sounds good for now! Big city or on the countryside?
Maybe we met when you where taking a roadtrip with some friends across US. You ended up in Phoenix one night and since one of your friends needed stitches at the hospital we bumped into eachother there? We kept in contact with mails and a couple of months later we decided to come visit eachother?
Or maybe I was living in your town for couple of weeks and send some of my poems to the local newspaper. Since you also managed the poem section at the newspaper, you read them and really liked them, which led to that you contacted me for taking a cup of coffee. We started talking and realised that we had a lot in common!
Or why not simply, we were on the same train in Seattle (I had just visited my brother there and was going back home to Phoenix) and it got stuck for hours. We started to talk to make the time pass faster and before the train started moving again we were already in love!
What do you say? :) I like any of these stories!
Yeah, we'll discuss names further as it goes!

Chiara will be Chiara Carter, so it's just Carter, not Hambledon-Carter, if you please. :)
