Things in the little town of Evandale, where the De Fiore family lived, couldn't be better. They have been quickly accepted by the people of the town, even gaining nicknames. Renata and Arianna are both in school and loving it, and Giacomo is becoming quite the little whirlwind, going here there and everywhere, but never too far from Ginevra's apron strings. Adamo has recently become partner in a small grocery store with a friend of his, which is starting to pick up, and he recently started going around with a girl named Matilda Swanson. Teodora has graduated high school and, thanks to the help of her favorite teacher Mr. Gibbs, is going to college in New York on an almost full scholarship. Things were going so well, Orlando and Ginevra decided to have another child.
Little Bettina's birth was not an easy one. She was born breach, and both of them almost died. But the Doctor attending them was skillful enough that they both came through it healthy. That is why they gave her the name Bettina, because she was blessed to come through the birth all right.
