While a good friend was sojourning in Egypt, she ran into a poor, sickly, disabled orphan girl named Arwa. Since she herself hadn't any place to settle into of her own, she alerted her good friends Dominic and Faustina Polowski. When the Polowkis heard about poor little Arwa they knew they couldn't just leave the poor child be. After discussing it with their family, asking their children's opinions, they decided to adopt the little child. Twelve-year-old Jo and seven-year-old Annie, sharing a room, decided that they could take in another little one into their large room. They had plenty of space. Faustina thought it was the perfect place for the poor little child, for Arwa not only was a cripple but had extreme breathing problems. Jo and Annie are light sleepers--especially Jo--and they are both very kindhearted and gentle. Faustina and Dominic are both heavier sleepers. The placement of little Ari into Jo and Annie's bedroom was probably the best choice.
Two years ago, before little Arwa was adopted (she legally became part of their family just three months ago), darling Sofia Roberta joined the family. Faustina and Dominic decided to name their darling daughter after two really great friends: Samantha Robin Bauer and Alexandra Sonia Wilkes. Samantha and Alexandra have helped with the younger children on the occasion that the older ones were off at school and both Faustina and Dominic were gone. They had been quite a big help, especially, during Faustina's pregnancy with Sofia. Faustina and Dominic simply thought it fitting that they name their newest addition after these two friends.
Just two weeks ago, babies Simon and Simeon joined the family. Dominic and Faustina weren't going to give them names honoring themselves, but their parents, Samantha, and Alexandra convinced them to. Dominic and Faustina are very excited to have twins in the house... especially since they have Jo and Annie to help. Jo is the biggest help they could ever wish for...
