Caleb and Ruby adopted a little four year old boy that Rebecca-Anne met at preschool one day. His parents had passed away when he was a little baby only a month or so old. Rebecca-Anne's little heart went out to him, and she came home crying. Caleb and Ruby couldn't help but adopt young Jehudiel Maximilian Edgar, nicknamed Jude. They also had a set of twins, three years ago. Clem and Trudy are very athletic and always climbing on top of things. In fact, just last week, Ruby had to rush little Trudy to the emergency room, all the other children in tow, because she had broken her arm while climbing on top of the refrigerator to snatch some cookies. Ruby was laughing in private at her twins. About ten minutes ago, Ruby went into labor with little Rita Anima Ruth came into the world. They had her name all picked out, and Veronica just has the feeling that the name Rita Anima Ruth will fit this little grandchild.
Josiah and Clovia haven't had any children still, and are on the edge of their seats with hope and suspense. They ended up adopting quite a few young children. Clovia is in love with kids and couldn't help it. They adopted a four year old (Pahaliah, called Lee), a pair of three year old twins (Jeremy and Mary), four two year old boys (Samuel, Martin, Oliver, and Elias), and three one year old girls (Zoe, Lia, and Ada). Clovia is in heaven with her ten adopted children, and can't wait to have some of her own.
Aidyn and Annabelle have a four year old son named Simuel, a son named Nico whose female twin (named Alecto) died from pneumonia (a very bad case), and a two year old son named Jonathan. They love their little boys, and Annabelle can't help but think of Daephyd as her own, now. He is being quite a good example for her own children.
Sandy and Cadie haven't had any children, but are desperately hoping for some.
Percy and Philander are taking care of three sets of three year old twins! Two adopted sets and a set of their own. Levi, Heidi, Matthieu, Marilou, Sunny, and Abe are best friends. Persis loves watching her adorable children romping around. She feels almost as if Levi and Heidi and Matthieu and Marilou are her own flesh and blood.
Benny and Ashlyn have welcomed their first child into their home, little Annie Comfort Roxanne. Ashlyn is so happy!
Hattie and Justyn have two adorable daughters: Ida and Beth. They can't help but laugh at Ida's antics. Oh, how much they love their daughters!
Augustyn and Cassie have a four year old son, Kemuel, who was born nine months after their marriage. He is barely four at the moment, but what a sweet four year old he is!
Arabella, now twenty-two, is once again pregnant without being married. Veronica and Louis are disappointed with this daughter of theirs. Ari is having a second daughter, this one named Ella. Ella Obdulia Freya, to be exact. Arabella is only two months into this pregnancy of hers, but little Lena is anxious to have a half-sister. Anything to have a sibling! Anything!
Esther has finally spoken, and she's fifteen! Fifteen years of silence... total silence. What unexpected thoughts were flying through Veronica's head when Esther spoke... only to break to her mother some awful news. Esther, at fifteen, is pregnant with her first child! Esther, always the shy one, had never thought this was to happen to her, especially since she hadn't ever said anything, not even to her "boyfriend," who was very forceful and made her be his "girlfriend." Esther is eight months pregnant, but still very small. She has a feeling this baby of hers will be extra tiny.
The rest of the Vander Halts are going through their lives without too much disturbing them.
