The past six years have been ones of change in the McCarthy family. Four years ago, Sadie suffered a stroke and many of her cognitive skills were lost. Two years ago, Art had a heart attack and passed away. At that time, the children decided to move Sadie into an assisted living facility so that someone could be with her all the time.

Matt and Sarah had two more children--surprise! Their sons, Padric and Zimri, are five and three.
Hazel and Aidan welcomed several more children into the family, as did Jacob and Maggie.
