Baron: George Thomas FitzGilbert, 3rd Baron FitzGilbert & Inquisitor General (36)
Lady: Jane nee Greytonne (19)
Lord: Luke Francis (3)
Lord: Joscelin George (2)
Lady: Godiva Mary (nb)
Angleterra was in a state of civil war... and FitzGilbert could well have been the man caused it. While George had loosen up a little up the birth of his second son, Joscelin, he still remembered the passage of scripture he read to Lord Bartholomew, that a merciless official would be the evil rebels to justice by crushing them.
He traveled to the court of King Henry and let him know what he truly believed the LORD required to bring a peace to the land. Henry, hungry for vengeance there and then declared George to be the Inquisitor General, an official with the power to bring people to bear a truthful testimony by whatever means required.
George, while know as a lover of the people was also known for his devotion to the LORD and to the mortification of the flesh prior to his forced marriage.
George felt the best way to get the truth from people was by forced mortification rituals such as whipping, piercing of the flesh with hot irons and the like... this however didnt go down too well with the rebels in question and word spread of these deeds and soon skirmishes broke out around the country.
At one of these skirmishes, Lord Cartwright died, making the King even more determined to bring those rebels to heel.
After the Duke & Duchess of Solvene were captured, thanks in no small part to their daughter's freely given confession before both the King & Baron FitzGilbert, they were handed over to George for the purposes of having the truth extracted.
George however needed to go home to be with his pregnant wife, Jane. Before leaving he told the Duke that he was the one that had helped their son Stephen marry the common girl Nora.
Once home George tended to his wife as she gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl... Godiva Mary. Jane has taken ill and it is feared she may not survive, especially since her husband is expected back at court to finish the proceeding with the Duke & Duchess, leaving her vulnerable to the general chaotic state of the nation.
