From the most noble house of Fakiris,
In the mighty kingdom of Ontolakis.
Ikenna (by the people known as "Ikenna the Fighter") and Callisto (known as "Callisto the beautiful") are growing and Ikenna is making small, but yet important, progress. Still, the doctors say he will never be able to be a ruler of Ontolakis. Lav and Selena are slowly falling in love with each other, but it's fragile. Lav is stressed out, because he feels like a failure unless he can produce a son. Selena is very homesick, and only talks about her family back in the empire of Cordocia, where she's from. She misses her dear sisters the most, but she can't visit them, because there's war in Cordocia and it's impossible to get in contact with the sisters. Needless to say, Selena is worried sick.
One day, a messenger arrives to the castle. He only talks Cordocian, like Selena, and is severely injured. Quickly, Selena runs down to see him. With his last words he says that there have been a bloody revolution in Cordocia and the entire royal family is dead. Selena burst into tears and drops to her knees.
"Only your sister's son I managed to save," the messenger exclaims. "Here! He's called Jerónimo Tristán..."
He hands over an almost newborn boy, and reveals a nasty wound, which starts to bleed, and he falls to the ground. Selena is enchanted by the boy, the last one living of her relatives. When she looks back at the messenger, he is already dead.
Selena storms into Lav's office and starts to explain. Lav is doubting. Can he adopt a non-royal, non-Ontolakian child? If he adopts the boy, legally he'll be Lav's inheritor (i.e. the crown prince of Ontolakis). That would be highly inappropriate, espicially if he doesn't manage to produce another, healthy son. He calls for Emmanouil. Emmanouil says the following:
"If you adopt this son and cannot present a son of your own, this Cordocian will be our king. That would be highly unaccepted by the people. If you leave him on the street, the people will dislike you even more. My advice: keep the baby, but get a mistress, your highness."
Lav thinks about it and looks at the boy. He is a lot darker than the average Ontolakian, and his eyes got the most peculiar color, amber. Never seen in Ontolakis before. But he's beautiful, and Selena has already fallen in love with him.
"We keep him!" the King shouts.
Edmonda, eldest child, knows that she plays an important part in the political games. She is highly patriotic, and seeing a non-Ontolakian as possible heir to the Ontolakian throne makes her wrinkle her nose. No way! Konstantina, on the other hand, is a lot closer to her mother's roots (with darker skin and her mother's artistic mind) and finds the boy delightful. She almost seems to like him more, because the people doesn't. The people of Ontolakis does NOT approve that their new crown prince is a foreigner. Some people even say: "If Lav can't give us a prince, maybe we should give the throne to one of his sisters!". Witnesses say, they've even seen Despina in the outskrists of the capital... with a son!! How will this end?
My question: can I add a mistress to my family?

Great! I'm sorry my story gets so weird and twisted, but now it has really a life of it's own, and I can't stop it :P
