Shortly after young Ianthe's first birthday, the Dowager Consort Valen and his wife Cecilia went to see Desmon. It occured that Valen's close friend and Cecilia's brother, Ezio, has given them an offer. Ezio knew that Desmon is highly interested in the military, and also in the outer world, and has offered to take Desmon under his wing on what he termed a "Grand Tour" of the world outside. Desmon was thrilled when his parents told him of that, and before long, he has set off with Ezio to the lands of the Strangers. Valen and Cecilia, and also the reigning High Prietess Zubia and her Consort Michael, and most definitely the rest of the House of Cra'don, were there to see the eldest Sul'i'mi off.
Years and years go by without Desmon in Thaeris. Sul'i'ah Kiara has devoted herself deeply to the sciences, and has made much progress. Time flew by, and Zubia announced a second pregnancy! All of Thaeris was overjoyed, since the presence of a second child is indeed something they would like to see, and also because Zubia has proved herself as having much less distress in birthing than her mother before her.
However, a susprise came to Thaeris just months before Zubia's second child is born. Desmon has returned from his long trip - with a wife and son! The House of Cra'don was positively thrilled with the news. Desmon explained that he and Ezio had left for Ezio's homeland (taking the alias of Domenico, a non-existant relative of Ezio's), and that he has learned much while there. While journeying through the lands, though, they had encountered a girl in the process of being robbed. Desmon swiftly helped her, ridding the robbers with his master Ezio, and she had offered them to spend the night at her father's house. The girl's name was Éabha, and it didn't take long for Desmon - or Domenico Auditore, as she thought his name was - to fall in love with her. In time, Desmon explained matters to Éabha, and to his surprise, she accepted his proposal of marriage. They lived together for a while, and soon Éabha had given birth to a son, Vesuvio. At first, Ezio was pretty much amused at his protege's choice for his son's first name, but was soon pacified when he knew that the Suvio's final name is to be named after Ezio's late brother Federico.
Soon after Desmon's return, Zubia gave birth to a son, named Zefanya. Zefa was a lovely addition to the High Priestess' list of children, even though he might never be ruler. Éabha, who had formed a close relationship with her sister-in-law, was glad that her son Suvio will have a playmate his equal, and Zubia, too, is happy for the company Éabha has kept.
Thaeris is in the height of peace and prosperity. Lucrezia is still ever the femme fatale, earning bits of chastisement from Zubia, Valen, Cecilia, and occasionally Desmon. Giovan has gained an interest in the Strangers' lives outside after hearing his brother's story, while Vanozza is still focusing on what few years she still has before she is considered an adult before Sul'i. Twins Sul'i'mi Ezio and Sul'i'ah Arlet are enjoying their lives as children, marvelling in their older siblings' stories and lives.
