She was born premature and had to spend 2 weeks in the NICU.

Year 4: Family Affair
We found a stray dog on the side of the road. She was in bad shape but we took her to the vet and cleaned her up and she is coming along nicely. She is German shepherd and Charlie named her Cinderella.
Year 5: Family Affair
Sadly Ryker’s cousin died in a car accident this year. He was a single parent because his wife died of cancer 5 years ago. Ryker was very close to him and when his wife died we had just gotten married but promised him we would take the kids in if anything ever happened to him and we did. We brought Benjamin Elijah who is 11 and Elizabeth Rose who is 7 to live with us.
Year 6: Adoption
We have always wanted to help people and adopt foster kids or orphans with no where to go. We adopted boy from Australia who has been in foster care since he was 6 months old when his grandmother who was caring for him died of a heart attack. Michael Lee is 6 years old and loves being part of a big family.
Year 7: Travel
We took a trip to see Mount Rushmore.
Year 8: Birth
We got the biggest shock of our lives a few weeks after we returned from Mount Rushmore. I was pregnant….with sextuplets! We had 4 girls and 2 boys. The first is Atiya Sequoia and she has straight blonde hair and green eyes. The second is Gabriel Tyler and he has curly brown hair and brown eyes. Aurora Nicole and Eden Josephine have straight black hair and blue eyes. Ada Tierra is identical to Atiya and the littlest one is Alexander William and he is identical to Gabriel. We are very busy with our 6 new bundles of joy plus our older 5 children but we are blessed with the addition of Tiya, Gabe, Rory, Eden, Ada, and Alex.
Year 9: Adoption
We didn’t plan on adding to our family so close to the birth of the sextuplets but a woman from our church recently died and her child was going to be put up for adoption so we had to take him. There was no doubt in either of our minds. He is 14 years old and his name is Derek Samuel.
Year 10: Birth
Very unexpected, in fact I didn’t even know until I went to the doctor because I was feeling so lousy. He felt my stomach and said there was either a tumor or I was pregnant. Thank God it was the second one. I was already 5 months along and didn’t even know it. 3 and a half months later our daughter was born, with brown curls and blue eyes. Elaine Violet is doing well.
Year 11: Transfer
Ryker’s library was transferred to a bigger building.
Year 12: Business Trip
Did you know there are librarian conventions? Apparently there are because Ryker went to one in Nebraska.
Year 13: Birth
We had another little girl this year. She has curly brown hair and blue eyes. Lillian Margaret. Just like with Elaine I found out about this pregnancy in a weird way. Ryker told me. He kept insisting I was pregnant and made me take a test, and he was right!
Year 14: Birth
Just after Lily was born I found out I was pregnant again with identical twin boys. The boys have wavy black hair and blue eyes. Roger Blake and Reed Nathaniel were born on Lily’s first birthday.
Year 15: We spent our anniversary in Washington D.C. My parents and sister moved into our house for a week to watch the children.
