The New Emperor

The emperor chose his wife through a wide search throughout his empire for a suitable empress. The number of canidates that were chosen was ten, the new empress happens to have been the best canidate chosen by a panel that included the emperor. What led to the new emperor was that an assailant from the nearby free-state of Halladey killed the previous emperor, empress, and their four children. As a result, his nephew and military tacitian, Jin, was chosen by default by both the imperial family and the military. As a result, war has be declared on the free-state of Halladey.
