In the Kingdom of: Solandra
Years flew by after the birth of Infanta Paloma, and the kingdom has been quiet. Just after Infanta Paloma's fifteenth birthday, though, a separatist faction starts to wage war against the kingdom of Solandra, going as far as to name themselves the Kingdom of Nuevista! One day, though, Nuevista began to terrorise and attack the rest of Solandra, creating mayhem and panic where-ever one goes.
Rumours state that the leader of the Nuevista movement is actually a Sforza, Doña Nedda's brother Cesare. Doña Nedda herself was very much worried about this rumour, especially since haters of the queen spread word that she was involved with incest with Cesare, who they said had fathered the three youngest royal children.
Don Carmelo was enraged, and personally led the attack towards the Nuevista's headquarters. To his surprise, his son Vasco offered to follow him into battle. Don Carmelo wondered why Vasco would want to leave his brother Dani, but it soon transpired to him that it was Dani's wish for Vasco to make sure that their father would be safe.
When the bloody battle ended, the nation was hushed with shock and sudden fear. Their king, Don Carmelo de Ramal, has been mortally wounded by the leader of the Nuevistas, a mysterious man in a hood, and Vasco had gone missing after bringing his father to the safety of the camp. The nation was in chaos until nightfall, when Vasco returned to the camp, grave, injured, but fiery. He had personally pursued the man who had wounded his father and fought him on a one-on-one confrontation which ended in the death of the mystery man: Cesare Sforza.
Victory had been achieved. The Eagle of Tavullia had killed the Nuevista's leader, and the separatists surrendered. However, Don Carmelo had been struggling against his wound, and finally died in the camp. The nation was in shock with their king's sudden demise. More so, however, with the royal family. Doña Nedda was pronounced a traitor by his haters, but Infanta Aida, as close to her step-mother as ever, staunchly defended her. At last, the decision was made that Nedda had taken no part in the revolution, and she was left in peace, although severely humiliated by situations. Nedda retired to a convent, leaving court life once and for all.
The next person to be in anxiety, now, was the Crown Prince Dani. Word had spread that Vasco was about to claim the throne - some even said that Don Carmelo wished so in his last words. When Vasco led the army back to the capital, Dani set forward to meet him in front of the castle. Everyone waited with bated breath to see the two brothers meet each other again, and to see whether the rumours that Vasco is to take over were true. The entire castle was silent as Vasco walked down the aisle, removed his hat, and knelt before his brother, thus signifying his submission to the new king. Still in shock over his father's death and greatly torn apart by his brother and guardian's actions, Dani broke in tears and embraced Vasco.
As soon as possible, Dani was crowned king, and his marriage to his fiancee, the Duchess Jovita de Goya, was consummated. Almost a year later, their first child was born, the Infante Alejandro Miguel Javier Felipe de Ramal y de Goya, named both after his grandfather Carmelo Alejandro and his uncle Vasco Alessandro. The kingdom was quiet once more, with the new king taking moves to ensure another revolution will never take place. Dani's rule was just and peaceful, with his sisters and in-laws by his sides (Aida and Ofelia were married with children before his ascent to the throne, with Ana coming up soon). Twins Santiago and Euphemia were on the scout for their own spouses, while Paloma insisted it's not time yet. Vasco never married, and instead kept his vow that he should protect his brother until one of them dies.
