Sign-Ups & Round One
Sebastian and Anastasia have known each other since childhood, Anastasia is the eldest Princess from the kingdom to the north of Aprola: Kalerdo, and Sebastian has been trained to rule his country almost from birth.
Aprola and Kalerdo had been fighting for close to fifty years when both sets of rulers finally made an agreement. Anastasia and Sebastian would wed and their great Kingdom's would be united at last.
Round Two
Sebastian was very surprised when his old sweetheart, Lady Calanthe Ginger of Cinnamon, came before him with a small boy in tow. He could see that the child shared some of his features, which only served to shock him more, but when Lady Ginger told him that she was dying of some unknown illness Sebastian agreed to take the boy in and raise him as his own. He even made Calanthe a lady-in-waiting for his wife.
Anastasia was wary of Calanthe at first, thinking that the woman wanted to make Geoffrey King but after only a few weeks Anastasia found that she was a very sweet woman. The Queen has sworn to her new friend that she will look after Geoffrey as if he were her own and that he will get the same education as a Prince might.
After Calanthe's death Anastasia talked Sebastian into recognizing Geoffrey as his child and giving him a title.
Round Three
Anastasia and Sebastian were overjoyed when they found out that they were expecting a boy but the Queen began to feel very ill and ended up delivering early. Unfortunately Prince Ezekiel Malachi Benjamin Edward Vincent was too small to survive very long, only lasting five days out of his Mother's womb. He was laid to rest on a quiet Spring day as the entire Kingdom mourned.
Three years later, after another hard pregnancy, the Queen gave birth to healthy, twin girls. Sebastian is extremely grateful that his wife is alright and that the twins do not have any health problems whatsoever.
Although the Kingdom is ecstatic that their beautiful Queen is alive and well some of the people have started to question whether they will ever have a legitimate Prince.
Round Four
The Royal family felt that God smiled upon them when they found out Anastasia was pregnant again and that the child was male but it was obvious that something was wrong. The Queen acted completely healthy, she did not have any kind of cough or cold and still had the same amount of energy but as her belly grew the smaller the rest of her became and the darker the bags under her eyes got. Until one morning, near her due date, Queen Anastasia Mabelle Edwyna Roselana Clarissa did not wake.
The Doctors were quick to remove the child from her belly and were happy to find that he was as healthy as the twins and Princess Sparrow had been. Sebastian was heart-broken and could barely look at his child for the next few weeks let alone name him. But one day Princess Sparrow walked into her Father's study, Princesses Saffron & Azalea trailing behind her and Geoffrey at her side, and placed her baby brother in her Father's arms. The young Prince immediately opened his eyes, revealing the same robin's egg blue as his Mother's, and gurgled happily. Sebastian began to cry and pronounced his son: Elias Anastasius Amabilis Edwin Sinclair of the noble house of Thyme, Prince of Aprola.
Sebastian took part more in his children's life after that, happy every time he looked into his son's eyes for his daughter's had inherited his hazel eyes. But soon the King's advisors were pressuring Sebastian to marry, saying that the Kingdom needed a Queen and that his children needed a Mother. So the King finally consented. He remembered a young woman who had visited his court a few times and seemed to get along well with Anastasia and his children so he wrote two letters, one to her and one to her Father.
About a month after receiving a letter from King Sebastian, Elizabeth Romana Isadora, Duchess of Paprika came to the court with her Father and agreed to marry the King.
The children remembered Eliza, as she liked to be called, from her other visits and were quick to welcome her into the family, although Sparrow was rather stand-offish at first she eventually warmed to the new Queen.
Round Five
Only eight months after their wedding Sebastian and Eliza welcomed twins: Prince Theo & Princess Rosie. Upon hearing the rumours circulating about her Eliza was both shocked and dismayed but Sebastian payed it no mind. He knew that his wife was pure on their wedding night and knew that parts of kis Kingdom felt he had married to soon after their beloved Queen's death.
Most of the Kingdom is ignoring the very vocal group.
Round Six
After another short pregnancy the vocal group spoke up again, claiming that Eliza was assaulting Geoffrey and that was why her gestation period was shorter than the norm. Eliza and Geoffrey were shocked and Sebastian has since demanded that anyone with information concerning the people who started these rumours was to come forward immediately.
Most of the Kingdom is ashamed about the rumours being spread and more bar brawls have broken out per month than ever before. Resulting in more accidental deaths than before as well.
In all of that though there is little Princess Addy. Her wet nurses and caretakers are claiming that she is the calmest, sweetest baby they have ever seen. Though she cries sometimes it is such a beautiful sound that it is being compared to a Cardinal or a Blue Jay.
Round Seven
Unfortunately the Kingdom went into a ten-year war mere months after Addy was born. And eventually King Sebastian went to join the fight, taking Geoffrey with him. The pair fought bravely with their men for six years before the King was struck down by an enemy arrow. Geoffrey quickly grabbed his Father, retreating carefully to his own tent to be with his Father until his death.
Only hours later Sebastian Alexander Henry Frederick, of the noble house of Thyme, King of Aprola was dead. And since Sebastian had never formally announced his heir the Kingdom was convinced that he had named Geoffrey.
Emboldened by their former King's death the Aprolan's fought back the Pelian's, the Kingdom to the East of Aprola, until they surrendered. The troops then returned to the capital, Geoffrey at the head and King Sebastian's body in a carriage directly behind him.
Upon their return the Queen shut herself in her room for a week, refusing to allow anything through the door except a maid to bring her water every now and again. When she emerged she announced that it was her husband's wish to have his eldest daughter rule. The soldiers were outraged, as were quite a few of the people. As much as it was the rule of their people that the first-born inherited, regardless of gender, their eldest Princess was unmarried, something unheard of in most twenty-two-year-olds. Besides, she didn't know about the horrors of war and was not a tried-and-true leader like Geoffrey.
Geoffrey didn't want the attention his men were pushing on him, flattered though he may be, and told them to stop. They listened but the whispers still went around until Sparrow felt she had no choice but to marry her half-brother.
The Kingdom was a little iffy on the idea at first but soon accepted it because of Geoffrey's prowess in battle. And so, the day of their wedding they were crowned Sparrow Lyric Alexandria Winter Rose of the noble house of Thyme, Queen of Aprola and Geoffrey Theobald Everard, Archduke of Basil and Lord of Cinnamon, King of Aprola.
About ten months after their wedding Sparrow and Geoffrey welcomed their beautiful daughter into the world. Sparrow couldn't help but smile when she saw her Mother's robin's egg blue eyes looking back up at her.
