A few months ago, Alexandre's mother sent a letter to Alyk, telling him that she was dying and he must take their son into the palace and give him a title, as any king's son should have. When she was told, Rosa thought that now she would be sent back to Jacarand, since Alyk already had a son (the kings of Jacarand have many wives, and she assumed that this lady was one of Alyks other wives). The king had already known about Alexandre and had been visiting him and his mother regularly. He will live in a part of the palace that is the most distant from the King and Queens apartments, but Alyk will visit him and he will have his own servants. The people, though, are disdainful of him and his late mother, fearing that he will attempt to become king when he is older.
