There has been a tragic even in the Hendrik family. Despite her twenty-eight years of age, Chloe has passed away having been in a terrible car accident. Poor little Dom is heartbroken that his "Mama dearest" has gone from this world. James had dug himself a whole of self-pity to wallow in. This continued until James met Rachel Summerfield. A year older than Chloe was, Rache reminded James of his departed wife. They ended up marrying, and now Dom has a stepmother. At first, Dom didn't really like Rache, but he's gotten used to her and enjoys her. Still, he loves his mother much more than the redheaded woman his father married.
