It's another daughter for the Darcys! She looks just like her mother, which prompted Mr. Darcy to suggest naming her Cassandra, after Elizabeth's middle name. Elizabeth delightedly agreed, and they jointly decided on Catherine, after Kitty, who Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy bth had become quite close to since their marriage. Cassie, as they call her, has already proved herself to be more active and inquisitive than any of her siblings were as babies, and is utterly spoiled by all of her brothers and sisters and her cousin Emma. Elizabeth now has the most children of any of her siblings: Jane and Mr. Bingley have four (Henry, Margaret, Alexander, and Eleanor), Mary has two with her husband, a Mr. James Wilson (Edith and James), Kitty has five with her husband Aaron Jennings (Matthew, Robert, Lydia, Sarah, and Rebecca), and Lydia and Whickham have only Emma. She has more than Charlotte as well, who has John, Katherine, and George. Georgiana has has three children with her husband, William (called Will to distinguish him from his cousin), Richard, and Annamaria. Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy quietly revel in this fact.
In the wake of little Cassie's arrival, several changes took place in the education of the children of Pemberley. First Zanna left Wilmont house, a fine boarding school near enough to Pemberley for very frequent visits, and Olivia started. Zanna had entered it at twelve, and after reaching the head of the first class, she returned home for more advanced studies from tutors. She studies music, drawing, Latin, Greek, and Italian. Now it is Olivia's turn at Boarding school, and she was sad to leave her family, but excited to be part of such a large family. Emma is currently enrolled at Wilmont House as well, and it helped both of them to have a cousin nearby. Soon after, the governess, Miss Linwood, left to marry, and Mr. and Mr. Darcy have employed a new one to teach Adam, Rosie, and William. Her name is Miss Beckett, and she is an eighteen-year-old who came highly praised by her old teachers. She has quickly become beloved by her pupils. All of the children love school, especially Zanna, Emma, and Olivia. Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy their girls' love of learning will rub off on their younger siblings/cousins. They could not ask for better influences on their younger children.
