2010
The birth of our first child marked our two year anniversary! Miriam Golda, "Mirie", was born on August 25th. She has blond hair like her father and my blue eyes. Her hair is straight like mine.
2011
Having tried to make it as a musician for the past few years I've decided to become a choir teacher. I'll get to use my knowledge of music and teach young minds to love music.
2012
Mirie had trouble breathing so we took her to the hospital. She has asthma, so we'll have to restrict her activities. She will never be able to do sports without struggling for air.
2013
We had been looking into adoption when we got a call about identical triplet boys born in China. The mother had had them in secret since they only allow one child per couple. We decided that we couldn't let them be separated, so we adopted them all. Jing "James" Huan, Yi "Donovan" Dong, and Bai "Bailey" Cheng came into our lives on their first birthday, July 17th. Mirie was a little confused about them at first, but she loves to help.
2014
A little after adopting the triplets, we found out I was pregnant. Amelia Violet joined our family on May 14th. She has curly, red hair and brown eyes.
2015
Matt has been made a partner at his pediatric practice!
2016
Matt got into a car accident with the boys on the way out to dinner the other night. A car turned right into him. Luckily, everyone just had a few scrapes and bruises with the exception of Bailey, who has a broken arm, but other than that, they are all ok.
2017
Pregnant again, this time with triplets. Now we have two sets. On March 25th we welcomed Alice Xarina, Janis Xara and Harley Xavier. They all look really different. Alice has straight, red hair and hazel eyes. Janis has straight, blond hair and blue eyes. Harley has wavy, blond hair and blue eyes.
2018
We took a family trip to the United States to visit my family. It was a bit of a hassle bringing all 8 kids, but we managed. My parents had met the newest triplets, so they were excited.
2019
We adopted another child, a little newborn boy from Mexico. We named him John Carlos. He was born on November 15th. Apparently, his mother left him with a border guard after she couldn't make it over the border to make him legal. He is beautiful and Harley is happy for a baby brother.
2020
I wasn't planning on having another baby so soon after the triplets and adopting John, but on June 5th we welcomed Jamaica Hillary. She has curly, blond hair and blue eyes. All the girls absolutely dote on her.
2021
For years I have been working on a piece of music to get published, and while it hasn't exactly been published yet, I had my kids sing it at school to rave reviews at our last concert. It was a major dream come true.
2022
The kids have been clamoring for a pet, but I couldn't deal with a dog or cat, so we got a bird, a parakeet the kids name Pirate.
2023
The adoption agency we used to adopt the triplets called us about a 13-year-old Korean girl that they've been trying to place. Even though we already had 10 children, we couldn't resist taking her in. Ji "Jinny" Hye, joined our family. She had just turned 13 on May 30th.
2024
The adoption agency that had given us John Carlos called us and said John had a sibling. Maria Lucia is five and we decided to take her in as well. Her birthday is June 19th. She will be the last child in our large family.
