Year 1: Birth
We were ecstatic to find out I was expecting, but we weren’t prepared for the news the doctor gave us in my second appointment: there were triplets on the way! The babies were closely monitored during the whole pregnancy, to avoid complications, but they were born premature on January 23rd and had to spend some weeks at the NICU before going home. We decided to use names from strong women in history as their mns.
Ava Eleanor- brown, curly hair and brown eyes (after Eleanor of Aquitaine)
Quinn Amelia - brown, straight hair and green eyes (after Amelia Earhart)
Lily Alice - black, straight hair and brown eyes (after Alice Paul)
Year 2: Family Affair
We were devastated when my sister was diagnosed with Anemia. Fortunately there are various treatments nowadays and with the proper medical care she’ll be able to lead a pretty normal life.
Year 3: Family Affair
Hunter’s dad was involved in a minor car accident when a car going on the opposite direction skipped a red light. He had to have some stitches, but that was all.
Year 4: Travel.
We took the girls to the Belair National Park to celebrate their birthday! We had a wonderful day together and the girls really enjoyed it.
Year 5: Pet
We adopted a cat called Daisy from the local shelter. She is all gray and has big green eyes. The girls adore her.
Year 6: Job
I had been working as a music teacher at a local school. Due to cut backs I was let go and decided I’ll stay with the girls for a while.
Year 7: Birth
We welcomed a little boy into the family on April 30th ! We decided to call him Blake Alexander. He has brown, curly hair and brown eyes. It was a very smooth pregnancy and birth.
Year 8: Family Affair
My sister was involved in a pretty nasty car crash. She was admitted to hospital and monitored for 24hs before being discharged.
Year 9: Pet
We decided to get bird. The girls picked a female Eclectus parrot who they decided to call Scarlet. She is very calm and pensive, and the triplets love her already.
Year 10: Family Affair
We decided to move to a house to cut down on expenses. It’s a very big but cosy house and the kids are gradually getting used to it.
Year 11: Birth
Just some months after we moved, I found out I was expecting again. I started feeling very tired but I thought it was because of all the stress of the move. One night I had a dream about a gorgeous baby girl with big brown eyes and I somehow knew I was pregnant. A pregnancy test confirmed it, and I couldn’t believe it when the doctor told me it was a girl! Joy Esme was born on February 27th
Year 12: Family Vacation
We decided to visit Hunter’s parents and spent a fortnight with them in Sidney. It was a wonderful family vacation.
Year 13: Travel, Family Vacation
This year we decided to visit my sister and her family in Perth. We spent a wonderful week with them, and the children loved spending time with their cousins.
Year 14: Birth
We welcomed another baby girl into the family. Blake really wanted to have a baby brother, but after we took Annie home he immediately fell in love with his baby sister and tells everyone he’s going to be the best big brother ever.
This time I had to be induced because baby was a week past her due date! She has a lot of black, straight hair and her eyes are green. She was born on July 5th, so she shares her birthday with Hunter’s mum, Anna. We decided to call her Annabel Grace to honour her grandma.
Year 15: Adoption
We adopted a one-year-old girl from the Caribbean. She has curly black hair and beautiful brown eyes. Her name is Zara Eve. Now our family is complete.
