Story: The Twelve Dancing Princesses

When Owen made his proposal to Erur and his father, he took for granted that Caoilfhionn would be on board with the plan. But she was more spunky than Owen gave her credit for, and had to gave him a few ultimatums before agreeing to the union. The King has accepted him back, but not reinstated him as crown prince. Yet. Prince Owen is now working is way (quite quickly) up to officer in His Majesty's navy. Caoilfhionn is adjusting to royal life with the help of her new friend, Faiza.
Prince Riordan had been more worried than he let on about his brother's return. Especially when he found out that the king was letting Faiza choose her husband. She didn't hesitate for a moment, though. She'd been pleased to be matched with Owen in the beginning and upset about being handed down to Riordan, but now she wouldn't exchange her younger husband for the world. Even though their first child was only a few months old, Faiza conceived again during that...emotional time. Nine months later she have birth to a second son, Leroy. And two years after that, to Riordan's delight, they welcomed a daughter (Philippa) with her mother's dark hair and gold eyes into the world.
Prince Vittorio was betrothed and married to princess Zuri with little drama. Except for the fact that she appears to have conceived on their wedding night. They also met on their wedding night, so no one's suggesting impropriety on the prince's part. No one's suggesting impropriety on the princess' part either, but some people are suspecting it. Prince Wyatt doesn't look like much now, but there will be plenty of eyes on him as he grows, to look for evidence that he is his father's son.
Princess Raine, the first princess, is a spoiled brat. Her family knows this. Her younger siblings idolize her. Her parents and older siblings adore her, in spite of her stubborn, sometimes demanding attitude. Her father has arranged an betrothal for her, but she's determined not to marry him. She has a "secret" boyfriend, Nicholas, whom she loves and is determined to marry. Nicholas is not a commoner, but his family has nothing that the crown wants or needs. Also, the king is convinced that an older man (Fyodor is 6 years older) will help her become more mature and even-tempered. Also, he's about to inherit a dukedom, very responsible and grounded.
