Things were progressing smoothly in the build up to Dieudonne & Ninette's wedding. They did not want to wait another moment, so the wedding itself was to occur on Dieudonne's 18th birthday. The whole kingdom was buzzing with anticipation of the royal wedding, but the week before the wedding Dieudonne saw the old witch who first showed him how to find Ninette standing at the edge of the forrest. She beckoned to him and he went to her, knowing the she would not have appeared for no reason. The witch told Dieudonne that there was an evil threat approching from the north that would present itself on his 18th birthday. Dieudonne was horrified - that was to be his wedding day! He convinced the old woman to accompany him to the castle to speak with his parents, which she did happily.
Eleonore couldn't believe her eyes as her eldest son walked into her chambers with the old woman, who was actually her fairy godmother! Tears pricked her eyes as she greeted the woman who had helped her to meet her prince, and them disappeared. The woman, whose name it turned out was Parisa, told Eleonore & Charlot of the threat that she had seen. They knew better than to disregard the threat if Parisa had seen it, so immediately took action & strengthened their borders. Much to Dieudonne & Ninette's disappointment, the wedding was postponed until the threat had passed.
Sure enough, on the dawn of Dieudonne's 18th birthday, ships began to appear on the horizon. They were identified as belonging to a kingdom that was ruled by a evil, greedy man, King Hector. A war broke out the harbour, but King Hector's army was poorly trained, and easy defeated. After the defeat, King Hector's son, Prince Alfonso finally stood up to his father, and with the backing of his people, stripped the King of his crown. Now King, Alfonso travelled to meet with Charlot & Eleonore to apologise for his father's actions. Alfonso was a handsome man with dark brown hair and chocolate brown eyes, and very little like his father in terms of personality. He was fair & kind, and Charlot did not hesitate in forging a new alliance with the young king, and invited him to stay for Dieudonne's wedding.
The wedding ended up taking place on Dieudonne's 19th birthday, exactly one year later than it should have. Parisa was in attendance as she was now in residence at the catle as Eleonore would not let her leave again. It was a glorious day, but the sun's radience was outshone buy the beauty that was Ninette. They danced and laughed late into the light, and just as the moon reached it's peak, King Alfonso asked Princess Rosalind to marry him! Everyone was shocked as they had not even realised that they had fallen in love in the short time they had known each other, but sure enough they had and Rosalind readily accepted. They will be married on Rosalind's 18th birthday, and while the family is pleased to see her make such a good match, they will miss her once she is married and goes to be Queen of a neighbouring kingdom.
Exactly 9 months after the wedding, Dieudonne & Ninette welcomed a daughter, Princess Christelle.
