Story - Cinderella

King Charlot & Queen Eleonore had decided to get away for a few days before the new baby arrived and had travelled to their seaside estate. Eleonore had found this pregnancy very different from the ones before it, especially in the respect that she was much bigger this time... But she simply put it down to the fact that this was her 6th child, and she wasn't as young as she once was. The trip was planned for a few weeks before the baby was expected to arrive, but as luck would have it, Eleonore went into labour!
King Charlot had no choice but to deliver the baby himself, the sound of the waves crashing outside providing a soothing environment. Their 6th child, another daughter arrived without a problem, and Charlot & Eleonore were admiring her when Eleonore felt the overwhelming urge to push again! A few pushes later and a second baby, identical to the first was born. The King & Queen were speechless with shock as they gazed upon their beautiful, perfect twin girls. They decided to name the girls Melusine & Alcyone, after famed water fairies in lore as a tribute to their seaside births. They travelled back to the palace as soon as Eleonore was strong enough, and everyone exclaimed when they saw the beautiful new princesses.
In the days that followed the girls births, pressure began to mount on King Charlot. He had recently celebrated his 35th birthday, and the advisers felt it was time he formally announced his heir. As their first born was a son, the choice was easy for Charlot & Eleonore... Prince Dieudonne would one day be king, as was his birthright. King Charlot did not want a big formal proclamation of this however, as it really was just confirming what everyone knew anyway... So rather than make a formal statement to the people, they simply had Prince Dieudonne walk into the market place on a busy morning, stand on a podium and announce, "The time has come, and now it is offical - Upon my father's death or when the time of his choosing comes, I will be your King, and I am grateful for the honor"...
Whispers have also begun to spread around the kingdom about many of the lords & lady's preparing their teenage daughters to present them to the now Crown Prince in hope of a betrothal. Charlot & Eleonore however are not really contemplating this at their son's current age of only 15 years. They are hoping that before that time comes, their son may find a love match such as their own.
