Story: Beauty and the Beast

Belle and Gabriel nearly lost Florian in the middle of the pregnancy after a slip and a fall down stairs. But she and the the baby were both tough, and their first son, Florian, was born perfectly healthy. The entire kingdom was happy, and Gabriel and Belle were happy to have a son, a nice change after two daughters. Both Arianne and Rosie were both very happy to have a new baby, though Rosie had been hoping for a girl so she could have a little sister, "lik Ari." The girls both dote upon their little brother and love to help their parents and the nurses take care of him. They gave him names that they they both liked, as well as Boniface, which means "good fate," for their good luck in not miscarrying him.
In other family news, Gabriel's mother has decided to abdicated in another year or two, now that her son is in his twenties and has had several years to win the people's love and loyalty. Belle is extremely nervous about becoming queen, but she is willing to do it for Gabriel's sake. She has been getting lessons in statecraft from the queen since she married Gabriel, and everyone thinks she is going to do a wonderful job.
