Year One (2019)
I had an opportunity to teach in England for a year, at a boarding school, and jumped at the chance. One of their teachers had quit about a month into the year and I got the call because one of my old school friends works there. Silas also thought it would be fun so we moved over there for the next nine months.
Year Two (2020)
I decided to learn French recently, since I showed ‘aptitude’ for the language as a child. Not to mention I would be able to teach at the local high school in the mornings because I only teach the kindergartners in the afternoon (our town is fairly small).
Year Three (2021)
Our black lab, Wendy, wandered away about a month ago. Silas and I weren’t too worried because we had trained her well and she came back after a few days, thankfully. Much to our surprise we found out a little while later that she was pregnant, and we assume it was the Miller’s yellow lab. Wendy gave birth to a healthy litter of nine puppies. Four of which are black, three are yellow and the other two are chocolate coloured. We have decided to keep all of the puppies (it’s going to be fun taking care of them!) but make sure that we get all of them spayed or neutered as soon as we can.
Year Four (2022)
Silas and I saved up our money and returned to England for a few weeks both to see my friend and the country we fell in love with several years prior. We mainly went to some of the cities we couldn’t go to the last time and toured the countryside a bit before returning home to Penetanguishene.

Name – Zane James-Keenan Green
Birth date – November 13th 2023
Age – 10
Hair – Brown, wavy
Eyes – Hazel
When the nurses took Zane away to be cleaned up they accidently switched him with another couple’s newborn! They quickly realized the mistake (the other child being a girl helped) and returned our son to us all clean and with all of the necessary body parts.
Year Six (2024)
Zane started getting sick a few months after he was born, we went to several doctors who couldn’t figure out what was wrong with our baby boy until finally one of them had the good sense to check for diabetes. We are very careful with the food we give Zane now and have told each of our respective families so that, on the off chance they babysit, they know what they can and cannot give him.
Year Seven
Name – Alexander Julius Green ‘Alex’
Birth date – July 14th 2025
Age – 8
Hair – Brown, curly
Eyes – Hazel
I went into labour about five weeks early and as such Alex was born significantly smaller than his older brother, who was only 5 pounds 13 ounces. The doctors were a bit worried for a while and had him hooked up to some kind of breathing machine but everything is alright now, thank God.
Year Eight (2026)
Silas and I decided to take a second honeymoon. We went to France this time, after dropping Zane and Alex off at my sisters and our ten dogs at a nice kennel where they walk them everyday. It was pretty romantic, especially since I could speak it fairly well. We saw the Eifel Tower which was over-rated, I mean it’s kind of pretty but nothing else, well, the view is nice too.

Name – Miriam Sage Green ‘Miri’
Birth date – September 17th 2027
Age – 6
Hair – Brown, straight
Eyes – Brown
Both my parents and Silas’ wanted to be in the delivery room this time – both because of the complications with Alex and because it was our first girl. Silas tried to convince me that we should let them (they were bothering both of us for months) but I flat out refused. I’m not even sure I want Silas to see me in that situation half the time I don’t need my parents or his to see me like that too!
Year Ten (2028)
We decided to buy a bearded dragon from the pet store in the next town over; Zane has been fascinated with lizards and snakes for the past few years so we indulged him. He named her April and enjoys feeding her crickets every day.

Birth date – April 27th 2029
Age – 4
Hair – Auburn, wavy
Eyes – Blue-gray
I went into labour early again, this time only by two weeks so there were next to no complications. However, I thought that I was having Braxton Hicks for several hours when it turned out that I was actually in labour the whole time! So by time I figured out that they were the real deal and Silas got me in the car to drive to the Hospital, after calling my sister to babysit of course, I was ready to deliver. There is an awful stain on both the passenger seat and the floor of our car now but Gabriel arrived safe and sound.

Birth date – January 31st 2027
Age – 6

Silas and I decided to adopt a little girl from Mexico. Since we are so blessed, what with four children, a large house and multiple animals, we thought we should share it with someone who had lost their family. Elle is a sweet girl, if a little shy, and needs to be taught more English but she is accepted by everyone in our family. Miri was a bit wary of her at first though, since they are the same age, but the two get along better now that they’ve known each other for a few weeks.
Year Thirteen (2031)
We decided to take the kids to England this year. My friend has now married, and has several children of her own all roughly the same age as mine, with her oldest being only a year younger than Alex. The kids were all excited and get along fairly well with Marcia’s children. We left April in the care of my sister, who is thoroughly grossed out at the idea of feeding the bearded dragon and all of the puppies (although they’re hardly puppies anymore) at the same kennel as last time. Sadly we lost Wendy earlier this year.

Silas had to go down to Toronto for the day and, unfortunately, I went into labour only an hour after he left. And, can you believe it; he forgot to charge his cell-phone! So I was unable to contact him. I had to call my sister, who drove over here with her husband and their kids, and then she drove me to the hospital and stayed with me in the delivery room until Tesni Sarah came into the world. When Silas got home at seven-o-clock that night and found out what had happened he hurriedly drove over to the hospital to be with me and our new daughter.

Silas’ boss came over for dinner and it was going well at first but Gabriel got sick part way through the night and I had to clean him up several times and finally send him to bed so he would stop throwing on the floor. William understood, having three nieces (triplets, if you can imagine) who he had to watch sometimes for his elder sister. After I put Gabriel to bed and changed my clothes the rest of the night passed without incident.
