DD: Mary Karina (14)It's been another five years. Matt and Rosie have had two daughters, Emily and Sophia. Matt is still in the Air Force, and he and the family are currently stationed in Germany. Amber has one year left in veterinary school before she can become a DVM. She and her boyfriend are engaged to be married in a few months. Eddie's family is from Brazil, but they immigrated to the US when he was eight. Eddie works as an auto mechanic, but he loves his work and wouldn't do anything different. Joey is also still in medical school, but he has about three years left. He has been so consumed with school that he hasn't had time for romance. Emma and her son Noah have been getting on well. Last year, Emma met a widower named Samuel who also has a young son. They aren't officially "dating", but they see each other once or twice a week. Alice has been to the Olympics the past two years and has brought home three medals--a team silver and two individual bronzes. She has decided to quit gymnastics now and "do something normal". She hasn't decided just what that is yet, but currently she's coaching her younger sisters Sara and Elena. Sara hasn't been to the Olympics, but she still loves gymnastics. She's going to a local college right now and studying physical therapy. Elena made her first trip to the Olympics this year. She brought home an individual gold medal and a team bronze. She wants to win more at the next Olympics, but has now set her sights on the World Championships. Jason, Alan, and Mary are now in high school. Jason still plays ice hockey and snowboards, and he was recently prescribed medication for his ADHD to help him focus. He says it works really well. Alan is still very scientific and has decided that he might like to become a doctor like his elder brother. Mary wants to act. She's decided that television acting is the place for her. Wil and Bekah have tried to be supportive, but aren't sure where this phase will lead their youngest.
