Only a few years after the birth of Grand Duchess Elena, Sergei and Josefina were pleasantly, but very surprised at the prospect of adding twin girls to their growing family. Sofia and Adelaide are names after cities around the world, with middle names honoring people living or dead, royal (Francisca, Charlotte, Alix, Carolina) or important in the arts or history (Maria, Zenaida). Sofia and Adelaide were born in the spring in France. Their parents have their hands full with two toddlers and two newborns, but they are all very happy.
