Nevermind
in reply to a message by estel
Well, just tell me if I'm doing it wrong...This is my daughter, Anna Sofia.
Think: Makes me think of a Spanish dancer. For whatever reason also of the song 'Santa Lucia'. Not sure why though...maybe the double As.
Say: "You have a beautiful little girl."This is my son, Nathaniel Jacob. We call him Nathan.
Think: I like the name, though I wonder why they don't just call him Nate.
Say: "Nice to meet you, Nathan."This is my daughter, Adriana (ah-dree-AH-nah) Sofia.
Think: Sounds like a very British name. I'll have to be careful of pronouncing this one.
Say: "Hello Adriana. How are you?"This is my son, Benjamin Joshua. We don't use a nickname.
Think: Doesn't flow very well, but I like the names separately. Why no nickname?
Say: "Good morning, Benjamin."This is my daugter, Anne Katarina.
Think: Sounds elegant and a little stuck up, but I can live with it.
Say: "Wonderful meeting you Anne. Do you go by Annie?"This is my son, Nicholas Ian. Sometimes we call him Nico.
Think: Why not Nick or Nicky?
Say: "Hello Nicholas. Nice to meet you."This is my daughter, Tatiana (tah-tee-AH-nah) Camille (cah-MEEL).
Think: Another British name...I like this one though. A nickname would be nice.
Say: "Tatiana is a very nice name."This is my son, Luca Nathaniel.
Think: Reminds me of a stuck up boarding school boy.
Say: "I don't think I know another Luca. You'll be easy to remember."This is my daughter, Lila (LIE-lah) Simone.
Think: I suppose its okay. I like the Simone, not so much the Lila. If it was Lily, that would be another story.
Say: "Your name sounds so pretty!"
