The Bishop family has grown substantially in the last 5 years. In addition to Alice; Rob, Beth, Henry & Will are now all married, and Lily & Evie are engaged.
Rob married his royal Lady, Nora & became a Lord himself! 'His Lordship' as his brother's and sister's now refer to him constantly rather despises his new title due to the ridicule given to him in jest by his family. Nora thinks that the teasing is terribly funny, but is wise enough not to join in on the game, after all, it is her royal blood and title that has landed him in the mess to begin with! Lord Rob & Lady Nora have welcomed 2 children since their marriage, Robert III (otherwise known as Bobby) & Audrey. Both children have a royal title, but Rob refuses to use them and they are only there to keep Nora's father happy.
As Robert & Meg suspected, not long after Alice & James moved to London a pregnancy was announced... and then another, and another! Charlotte, Eleanor & Theodore (or Lottie, Ella & Teddy) arrived one after the other... 3 children in 25 months... phew! 1925 has almost passed without an announcement however so seems as though they may be taking a breather!
Beth & Andrew have also married and have moved to Andrew's parent's estate which is about 3 hours away by motor car. They have recently welcomed their first child, a son named Charles (aka Chaz).
Henry has just recently wed his sweetheart, Bea, and they have moved to London where Henry is working in stocks & bonds. They live not far from Alice & James, and from what Alice tells Meg, it sounds like Bea is a real help with Lottie, Ella & Teddy. They have no plans to start their own family just yet as they would like to get themselves a little more established first.
And that brings us to Will... Will & his girlfriend Daisy had been an pair since Daisy was 13 years old & they met by the creek on a hot summers day. Daisy is from a poor family, so at first Robert & Meg tried to discourage the relationship as the Sullivan's were far below the Bishop's social station, but eventually Will's obvious adoration for Daisy won them over. However, nothing could have prepared Robert & Meg for the terrible news that their 17 year old son had impregnated his 15 year old fiance... A wedding was hastily arranged, and little Betty was born 6 months after the wedding. The town talked of course, but as Will & Daisy were married when Betty was born, it stopped soon enough.
Lily & Evie are both engaged to their highschool sweethearts and can't wait to graduate and raise pretty babies like their older siblings.
At this point & time, Jack & Cate are the only single Bishop children. Jack is enjoying playing football, and does seem to be quite popular with his female peergroup, so no doubt he will follow in his siblings footsteps.
Cate, however, has told Meg that after she finishes highschool, she is going to go to college and doesn't know if she ever wants to get married or have children, after all - she has plenty of niece's & nephew's instead. Cate has dreams about becoming a doctor, and no matter how hard Robert & Meg try to tell her that that the medical profession is a man's world that she would just get hurt in, Cate is adament that she will be triumphant. Cate is very academically gifted, and Meg is secretly very proud of her daughter's dedication and ambition.
