Life has passed on quickly for the Weschler children. For starters Johan and Nora now only have two children left at home, Nina and Clay. Because both of the children will be leaving their parents' home within three or four years, Johan and Nora decided to take on a new project, the Ben Meir children. The Ben Meirs were good friends of the Weschlers before they died in a mysterious fire. Anyhow the Weschlers offically adopted them when Rachel was only 8 months old. The children are well adjusted to their new and large family.
Maggie and her husband had three more children in addition to the twin boys they already had. Sylvia, Lola, and Simon are just wonderful. Aaron and Isaac are doing wonderfully in school and when they grown up; Aaron wants to go to the moon and Isaac wants to do math. Sylvie has just begun school and she wants to be a writer.
Dora and Oscar had two great kids. Rosie and Felix are best of friends and prefer eachothers company over anyone elses, which is understandable considering the family lives in Witchita. While they don't see the family much; the kids adore their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Andy and Gloria moved even farther away from home than Oscar and Dora, they now live in Boston!!! Little Naomi arrived shortly after her parents made the long journey. She will likely grow up a city girl and might never meet any of her cousins. The only family members she's met are Nora, Rachel, and Sophia, who came to visit when she was two. She left the rest of the children at home with Johan as the trip would have been too stressful.
Ella and Sam live on the next farm over. Their children; Wes, Curt, and Roland, are over quite often which is good for everyone. That way the children are beening cared for, Ella and Sam can do whatever needs to be done, and the Ben Meir kids have someone to play with. Another benefit is that Nina and Clayton get to learn lessons on parenting.
Peter, Eddie, and Sophia have all gotten married. Sophia, Peter, and their spouses moved to Jefferson city, but write as often as they can. Eddie and Hanna live thirty miles west of their parents' farm.
Note to self: Naomi shall be an only child. Rosie and Felix shall have no more siblings. Roland, Wes, and Curt will get a sister in '32
