Carys gives birth to a baby girl on Christmas Eve during a large snow storm. They name her Gwyneira and call her Gwyn, after her Welsh heritage and her mn is Esha after her Indian heritage. Her fn means white snow and her mn means "desire, wish". Gwyn has slightly fairer then even Dirk and Wolf, but not as light as her mother. She has her mothers blue eyes and her father's dark brown hair and long dark eye lashes. Carys thinks that it is unlikely that any of her children will have her blond hair.
Vasu is doing very well in school and has a tennis coach and likes to play golf. The family all goes on ski trips often during the winter and they use their friends ski chalet in Steam Boat. Tala and Otto don't ski yet. The children usually hang out in the chalet and the adults take turns watching them. Dirk and Wolf do tricks and jumps and love skiing. They also play soccer, hockey, and American Football. This is Wolf and Dirk's first year of elementary school, they turned 6 near Thanksgiving. Their favorite part of school is gym and they also like computer studies and public speaking.
Tala and Otto are 3 years old and they are more quiet and gentle than Wolf and Dirk. Tala and Otto are both obsessed with spending time with animals and love to listen to music.
The whole family views Gwyn as the best Christmas gift of all and are in love with their baby sister. Tala and Carys are both happy for another female.
