Your Adoptee
Mirela Catina is a one-year-old girl from Romania. Her teenage mother put her up for adoption right after she was born, and Mirela has been in our care ever since. She doesn't talk yet, but blabbers a lot and loves being spoken to, ever if her reply is unintelligible. Mirela also loves to be taken out for walks, and running off when she feels the grip on her hand slacken. She is particularly curious towards other babies and toddlers, and often tries to play and communicate with them. Mirela takes her favourite pillow everywhere and genuinely panics if it goes out of her sight. She likes to be the centre of attention, but will often ignore people for a more rewarding activity, such as clapping along to a song or playing with soft toys. Mirela has straight light brown hair, hazel eyes and fair skin.
We would love to know how Mirela is doing!

One Year Later
Mirela is doing great and she fits right in with Connor and Molly. Mimi, the nickname given by Molly, had become less dependent on her pillow and has learned that it should stay in her bed. She is a smart girl and still loves clapping along to songs. She has begun to hum with them and she now speaks. Her first word was Moll. We assume she meant Molly. She still has a curious nature about her and just now hitting the "terrible twos" she gets into everything. We, the Douglas Family, would like to thank you for blessing us with out daughter.

Flávia Letícia is a 16-year-old girl from Brazil. She was kicked out of her house by her family when she told them she was pregnant; as such, she was put into foster care. The baby's father has disappeared from the scene, which she deeply resents him for. Flávia is four months along, but she doesn't know what she's having yet. Flávia is a creative person and very talented with her hands. She likes to make her own clothes and is an expert at sewing. Despite her crafty ways - she can make practically everything from ragdolls to handmade cards to clay sculptures -, she has trouble drawing straight lines or following a set model, which is why she claims she will never be an architect. Flávia dislikes people who talk and gossip a lot, and she loses her temper quite easily; she is quick to forgive, though, and within minutes she'll have forgotten why she was so upset in the first place. Flávia would like to become a fashion designer. She has curly brown hair, green eyes and slightly tanned skin.
Erdene is a ten-year-old girl from Mongolia. She had lived her whole life with her grandmother, but unfortunately the old lady passed away six months ago; thus, Erdene was put up for adoption. She is quite smart and loves going to school to learn new things; however, this makes her look like a know-it-all and, in spite or her understandable curiosity, Erdene doesn't seem to realise that her constant asking "Why?" can get on some people's nerves. Erdene likes playing out in the snow, eating anything with chocolate, exchanging letters with her Australian and Finnish penpals and studying. Sometimes she can be a bit too gullible, and takes jokes seriously. Erdene has straight black hair, brown eyes and slightly tanned skin.
Cristóbal Javier is a five-year-old-boy from Bolivia. All of his family, except for himself, his younger brother and an adult cousin, perished seven weeks ago when their village was flooded by a nearby river.

Your Adoptees
Marley Cheyenne is a 4-year-old girl from the USA. Her parents passed away in a tragic fire, so she was put up for adoption. Marley is a very cheerful child who loves to pull practical jokes and ride her bicycle. She is also very caring and protective, especially toward her sister Makenna. Marley loves to play house and is very fond of animals. She suffers from MCAD deficiency, a metabolic disease, which means she has to follow a strict low-fat diet, take daily doses of carnitine and never go more than 8 hours without eating. Marley has curly dark brown hair, dark brown eyes and dark skin.
Makenna Brynn is a 2-year-old-girl from the USA. She is Marley's younger sister, and her circumstances are the same as her sibling's. Like Marley, Makenna too suffers from MCAD deficiency, and the same cares apply. She loves flowers and playing outside, but since she is afraid of dogs, she will often stay in the safety of the house if there's a dog nearby. Makenna can be very stubborn, but also very persuasive - she often pouts when things don't go her way, and is very cuddly when she gets what she wants. Makenna has curly dark brown hair, brown eyes and dark skin.
Jordan Jack is a 14-month-old boy from the USA. He has been in foster care since birth, as he was abandoned at the hospital where he was born. Jordan loves chasing after anything that moves, and he seems to have a soft spot for the colour green and rubber balls. Jordan loves fruit and sweet food, and is a bit of a glutton. Most of the time he is good-tempered and agreeable, but every now and then, for no apparent reason, he will become fussier. He can already run around quite fast, and will probably start saying his first words soon. Jordan has straight blonde hair, green eyes and fair skin.
We would love to hear how the children are doing!

Cian Shane is a 3-year-old boy from Ireland. His parents put him up for adoption at birth, as they did not want to deal with his condition. Cian has oculocutaneous albinism, which causes him to have poor eyesight, photophobia and get sunburnt easily. It is possible that in the future he may need surgery to correct his eyesight; sunscreen also needs to be constantly applied, especially when outdoors or in places with plenty of sunlight. Cian loves to draw and fingerpaint, and he has a passion for Disney films and characters. His favourite toys include, but are not limited to, plastic aeroplanes, cars and Lego blocks. Cian is a very smiley, extroverted and generous child, and he is also very straight-forward and blunt in his speech (for example, if he sees someone eating a piece of cake, he will shamelessly ask the person for some). Cian has straight white hair, blue-red eyes and very fair skin.
Lan-Fen and Ming-Qiu are two-month-old twin girls from China. Their parents put them up for adoption because they wanted a boy. Lan-Fen and Ming-Qiu do not have any interests yet, but they seem to like colourful objects and soothing music. Ming-Qiu seems to be fussier than her sister, but both of them are fairly quiet, despite being very curious about the world surrounding them. Both girls have straight black hair, brown eyes and fair skin.

Three Years Later
All of our children are doing extremely well. Cian is coping well with his condition. When he was about four he began asking why he was differet, and we had a long talk explaining it to him so he could understand. He started kindergarten last year and after a little initial wariness he made a lot of friends. Thankfully, his eyesight has gotten no worse and the doctors have agreed that glasses are the best option now. We may consider surgery when he is older, but for now he is content. He is very close to Gwen, who is very protective over her little brother, and he and Benny love to play ball with one another. Cian is joining Benny's old T-ball team this year. We are also enrolling him in art classes. He loves drawing Mickey Mouse and Simba, and all our family is impressed with his talent.
When we adopted our second set of twin girls, we made Lan-Fen and Ming-Qiu their middle names. They have been Annabelle Lan-Fen and Samantha Ming-Qiu for the last three years. They have developed very different personalities. Annie is extremely precocious and very curious about everything. She is a real go-getter and would rather figure things out herself than let anyone help her. Sam is quieter and loves animals. Her favorite color is red, and she loves to draw. Cian is very excited about this and is always hovering every time she has a crayon to see what she'll make. The girls have recently started noticing they look different than Mommy and Daddy and their brothers and sisters. We have explained to them about adoption and China and we are planning another trip there in another year or so to show them where they came from.
Thank you for giving us our wonderful son and daughters!

Your Adoptee
Yiorgos is a 4-year-old boy from Greece. His parents passed away in a car accident, and as he has no other family, he was put up for adoption. Yiorgos is very athletic and loves sports. He is very fond of riding his bike and spends hours doing so, but he also likes to swim, play football (soccer), basketball, volleyball and tennis. Yiorgos also likes to watch cartoons on TV and play with plasticine, preferably with company as he is quite sociable and friendly, even toward strangers. He only speaks Greek, but he will probably pick up other languages quite fast. Yiorgos has curly dark brown hair, amber eyes and slightly tanned skin.
We would love to hear how Yiorgos is doing!

Yirgios fit into the family very well. As we make it a point to know many languages, we converse with him quite easily. Also, we are teaching him English and a few of the other languages we know. Luckily, as he is only four, we have a full year to teach him a basic kindergartener's English. He gets along well with Elizabeth, and the two have a great time watching cartoons on TV before the weekly family Sunday walk. We are so pleased that he is a part of our family!

Your Adoptees
Hadassah Vered is a 6-year-old girl from Israel. Her single father became terminally ill last year, and after his death Hadassah was out up for adoption. She is a very bright and talkative girl, who loves to learn new things and is thrilled to start school. She loves helping out in the kitchen, taking pictures and watching TV, and gets along very well with other children, despite being a bit bossy and manipulative. Hadassah also likes to play computer games, her favourites being 'Bomberman' and 'Puzzle Bobble', which she used to play with her father. Hadassah dreams of becoming a doctor when she grows up. She has straight dark brown hair, hazel eyes and slightly tanned skin.
Yuri Gennadiy is a 3-year-old boy from Russia. His parents emmigrated to a foreign country, leaving him with his maternal grandmother, who sadly passed away four months ago. As his parents couldn't be contacted, Yuri was put up for adoption. He likes animals, cars and playing football (soccer), and he is a big fan of music, particularly songs he can dance to. Yuri is an amiable child, but he is also stubborn and doesn't like it when things don't go his way. He also dislikes to lose (car races, football matches, and so on), but is quick to forgive and forget. Yuri has straight black hair, grey eyes and fair skin.
Evie May is a 2-year-old girl from England. Her mother was sent to jail after murdering her father because of an extramarital affair, and as her grandparents couldn't afford caring for her, Evie was put up for adoption. Evie is quite shy and responds negatively to loud noises and voices, no doubt due to what she experienced when living with her parents. She prefers to play on her own, usually drawing or talking her favourite toy, a plush dog. Evie takes her time getting used to people, but once she warms up to them she can be somewhat extroverted. She likes the colour purple and enjoys dressing up. Evie has wavy red hair, green eyes and fair skin.

Gennadiy- is now four and has become best friends with Barak. They love playing soccer with Yonah and Adi.
Eve- is now three. She enjoys playing with Luke and Hannah and often gets followed around by them.
Luke & Hannah- are very happy one year olds. They love to follow Eve
