About 4 years ago, Autumn was at College and living in a house with 5 other people to save on money. One of her flatmates was a girl named Eloise. Eloise's older brother had not long come out of a messy relationship and needed cheering up, so when the flatmates decided to host a party, Eloise invited her older brother to come along.
It was at the party that Autumn met Eloise's older brother, Jonathan, or JJ as he was usually known. Autumn and JJ were instantly attracted to each other and the physical side of their relationship quickly progressed, though both were loathe to enter a true relationship having both just come out of other relationships.
They kept things casual for awhile, but the time came when they had to admit that the feelings between them went far beyond just a physical relationship, and they officially started dating about 5 months after their first meeting. Once they did start dating, they knew very early on that they would be together forever, and they moved into their own apartment after being together for six months.
JJ proposed to Autumn on their 2 year anniversary. He had originally planned to ask her over dinner at their favorite restraunt, but chickened out. After dinner, they had tickets to the movies, and it was right outside the movie theatre that JJ dropped to one knee and asked Autumn to be his wife. She laughed, but agreed :)
They married 18 months later, on valentine's day, surrounded by 110 guests. The ceremony wasn't what one would call emotional, as the bride and groom were truly too busy laughing and having fun to cry :) After the ceremony, they ate, drunk and danced the night away.
For their honeymoon, they spent a week soaking up the sun on the white sand beaches of Samoa, and when they left to return to New Zealand, they both felt as if a peice of themselves would forever remain there in Samoa.
8 months on, Autumn and JJ have just moved out of their tiny one bedroom apartment into a beautiful 3 bedroom home, and can't wait to start their family.
FYI: This story is 100% real and is the true story of how my husband James and I met, dated, the proposal, our wedding & our honeymoon :) I love our story, so just thought I'd share it with you all as well!
